What are workflow statuses?

Workflow statuses help organizations track the current state of active and completed workflows inside Vyvern.

Statuses provide visibility into:

  • Current workflow activity

  • Execution progress

  • Paused or delayed workflows

  • Completed testing operations

  • Failed workflow execution attempts

You can filter workflows by status from the Workflows page.

Available Workflow Statuses

Queued

Queued workflows are waiting for approval or review before execution begins.

For newly onboarded organizations, queued workflows are commonly part of Vyvern’s additional initial review process. During this phase, the Vyvern team manually reviews early workflow proposals to ensure:

  • The AI correctly understands the organization and targets

  • Workflows are behaving safely and appropriately

  • Platform restrictions and approvals are functioning correctly

Queued workflows may also appear if:

  • Additional compliance review is required

  • Autopilot settings do not allow automatic approval

  • The workflow is awaiting administrator action

Once approved, queued workflows can move into the Active state automatically or through manual approval.

Active

Active workflows are currently running.

This may include:

  • Live testing activity

  • Ongoing workflow execution

  • AI-driven task progression

  • Communication or automation operations

Active workflows continue running until completion, manual intervention, or failure.

Paused

Paused workflows have been temporarily stopped.

Workflows may be paused:

  • Manually by administrators

  • Due to platform restrictions

  • During workflow review or investigation

  • While waiting for additional approvals or compliance checks

Paused workflows can typically be resumed later.

Completed

Completed workflows have finished successfully.

This indicates:

  • Workflow execution has ended

  • Planned tasks were completed

  • Results and analytics are available for review

Completed workflows remain accessible for reporting and analysis.

Failed

Failed workflows encountered an issue that prevented successful completion.

Common causes may include:

  • Invalid workflow targets

  • Platform restrictions

  • Authentication or access issues

  • Missing required information

  • External platform limitations

Failed workflows may require review or manual correction before rerunning.

Filtering Workflows by Status

The workflow filter menu allows administrators to quickly:

  • Review active operations

  • Identify failed workflows

  • Monitor queued deployments

  • Audit completed testing activity

This helps organizations manage workflows more efficiently, especially across multiple clients or environments.
