What is Autopilot?
Autopilot is Vyvern’s automated proposal approval system.
When enabled, Autopilot can automatically approve AI-generated proposals that match your organization’s configured rules and restrictions. This allows organizations and MSPs to streamline workflow deployment without manually reviewing every proposal.
Enabling Autopilot
To configure Autopilot:
Navigate to the Proposals page
Open the Autopilot dropdown in the top-right corner
Enable Autopilot Mode
Once enabled, Vyvern will begin evaluating incoming proposals against your configured approval settings.
Setting the Maximum Auto-Approve Priority
Autopilot allows you to control which proposal priorities can be automatically approved.
Available approval levels include:
Low
Medium
High
Critical
For example:
Selecting Medium allows Autopilot to automatically approve Low and Medium priority proposals only
High and Critical proposals would still require manual review
This helps organizations maintain tighter control over higher-risk operations.
Eligible Campaign Types
You can also choose which workflow categories are eligible for automatic approval.
Supported campaign types include:
Social Engineering
Phishing Campaign
New Target
Permission Request
Technical Testing
Physical Security
Compliance Check
Disabling a category ensures proposals of that type always require manual review.
Compliance Review Protection
The Require compliance review setting prevents Autopilot from approving workflows if compliance checks are still pending.
This adds an additional layer of organizational safety and approval validation before workflows are executed.
Autopilot for New Organizations
For newly created organizations, Vyvern temporarily limits Autopilot functionality during the onboarding phase.
The first workflows generated for a new organization are manually reviewed by the Vyvern team to:
Ensure the AI understands the organization correctly
Validate workflow safety and platform usage
Confirm organizational restrictions and targeting are appropriate
Reduce inaccurate or unsafe proposal generation early in deployment
After this initial review period, organizations can fully utilize Autopilot according to their configured settings.
Recommended Usage
Autopilot is best used after:
Initial organization onboarding is complete
Employee and workflow data have been validated
Your organization understands its preferred approval thresholds
Many organizations begin with stricter approval settings and gradually increase automation over time.
